Holiday Hire

Meadows Shopmobility offers a range of mobility scooters and wheelchairs available for holiday hire across the UK. Our equipment can help make holidays, day trips, and periods of reduced mobility easier and more comfortable.

Many of our scooters are lightweight and can be dismantled for transport in the average car boot. Full guidance on safe use and transportation will be provided when collecting the equipment.

Equipment Available

We currently offer a selection of:

• Mobility scooters
• Lightweight wheelchairs
• Self-propel wheelchairs
• Bariatric wheelchairs

Availability may vary, so please contact the office for current stock and suitability.

Hire Charges

Mobility Scooters

• £12.00 per day
• £60.00 for 7 days
  (Includes two free days with a week’s hire)

Wheelchairs

• £7.00 per day
• £35.00 for 7 days
  (Includes two free days with a week’s hire)

Deposits

A refundable deposit is required for non-members hiring equipment:

• Mobility Scooter Deposit: £100.00
• Wheelchair Deposit: £50.00

Meadows Shopmobility members are not required to pay a deposit.

Deposits can only be paid by cash or cheque. Hire charges may be paid by card in the office.

Booking Information

Holiday hire equipment cannot be booked through the website. To check availability or make a booking, please contact the office directly.

As this service is very popular, early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Identification Required

When collecting equipment, we will need:

• One photo ID showing your name and address
  or
• Two utility bills showing your name and address

A holiday hire form must also be completed in the office.

Important Information

• All holiday hire equipment is for use within the UK only.
• An insurance assessment will be carried out upon collection.
• If collecting equipment for somebody else, you will be asked to sign on their behalf regarding the insurance assessment.
