Meadows Shopmobility is a registered charity and relies on various fund raising initiatives and donations to buy equipment and run the service.
We use several ways to raise money. Our second hand book shop, members’ fees, donations and the sale of new and second hand mobility products. The Co-op and its Quadrant stores provide ‘Community’ cards so users can use the points to benefit our service.
The book shop at 4 Market Road is our flagship fund raiser. It is run by volunteers and obtains its large range of stock through donations made directly to the shop or via the Shopmobility office. Please view the separate page on our website.
The annual membership fees are important to us as are the donations we receive from the general public. Donations come in a variety of ways; money gifts through our donation boxes, directly to us, occasionally from a legacy and by donating items for sale. We have a Localgiving.com account. Can You Help Support Us?
Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!….. The target of £1,200 has been reached and the new scooter has arrived. Thank you for all your donations and making this happen so quickly.
Round two of our fundraising was also a huge success. We aimed for £600. The final total raised was £1,142.00 an exceptional amount. This money will be invested into equipment to make your Charity better. I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to all that have taken part, donated items and joined in with the Red table sales. It has been wonderful experience raising this amount of money.
The New wheelchairs have arrive!! One has a push aid system that helps push the chair with you. Come on in and try it out.
All this equipment was bought with monies from the recent fundraising events in the office.
